

Setting Up for a Zoom Pilates Class

Prepare Your Space

Choose a quiet, well-lit area with enough space to move comfortably.

Set up your Pilates or yoga mat and any required equipment (e.g., sliders for reformer exercises, hand weights).

Test Your Equipment

Ensure your device (computer, tablet, or phone) is fully charged or plugged in.

Test your internet connection for stability.

Check that your camera and microphone are working correctly.

Log In Early

Log into Zoom 5 minutes before the class starts to set up and check in with the instructor if needed.

Adjust Camera and Audio Settings

Position your camera at an angle where your entire body is visible while performing exercises.

Have your mat positioned lengthwise to the screen for optimal visibility.

Test your audio to ensure participants can hear you clearly.

Use earphones for better sound quality.

Enjoy the Class

You will be muted during class. If needed, message the instructor directly (not the group) using the chat button (a speech bubble icon) at the bottom of the screen.

Just like in any class setting, please be respectful of the group and yourself. If you need water, to use the restroom, or a break at any time, please feel free to take it.

The mute button (a microphone icon) allows you to mute or unmute yourself, and the camera button (a video camera icon) lets you turn your video on or off. Simply click on said buttons to turn them on or off.
